I was initially excited to purchase the Daolar F098 Mobile Wallbox due to its advertised feature of adjustable charging current via a mobile app. According to the product description, users can remotely switch the charging current between 6A and 16A during the charging session, which sounded like a convenient and modern solution.
Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been disappointing. While it is true that the charging current can be adjusted, it cannot be done dynamically during charging via the app as advertised. To change the current, you must disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle and then reconnect it, which defeats the purpose of “remote” and “dynamic” adjustment.
This limitation was not clearly stated in the product listing, leading to a misleading expectation. The seller insisted that this behavior is normal and “common knowledge” in the industry, but I disagree — there are other products on the market that support true dynamic current adjustment without needing to unplug.
The communication with the seller was frustrating at times due to a dismissive tone, and the return policy is strict, making it difficult to resolve this issue satisfactorily.
In summary, the product works as a charger, but does not deliver the advertised smart current adjustment feature in a practical way. I cannot recommend this product to those who expect seamless remote current control during charging.
